it'll always mean quite a bit, it affects morale of the alliance losing it, but more importantly it often affects the player who loses it pretty heavily, to the point of them quitting over it (maybe only temporarily but I've heard of it several times)

Yeah, but what if that quote is from a few months ago, when BoB&MC (and Axiom, Styx, EXE, ISS, and so on) were sieging FAT? I don't think a goon would have the gumption to do that at that point.
If that's from like, yesterday, then yeah, probably a goon troll.
It's from the second alliance tournament when IAC lost to BoB in the semi-finals, so like a year and a half ago or something.
Pretty typical for BoB's attitude in general, could just as easily see a quote like that coming from Molle.
